Dr. Mohebi on the Road – A Trip to Thailand for Hair Restoration Meetings

Dr. Mohebi attends AAHRS 2023 Meeting

Outside of meeting with patients and helping them achieve their hair restoration goals, Dr. Parsa Mohebi also enjoys meeting with his fellow hair transplant professionals across the globe. According to the doctor, the opportunity to exchange information and learn more from his fellow medical colleagues energizes him and makes him even more excited about treating patients when he returns to the office. Recently, Dr. Mohebi had the chance to travel to Bangkok, Thailand, to attend the 7th Annual Conference of the Asian Association of Hair Restoration Surgeons (AAHRS). Check out all the action from his trip below.

Dr. Mohebi Travels to Thailand – Event Details

Dr. Mohebi provides lecture at AAHRS meetingAs the name implies, the AAHRS Conference is predominantly attended by Asian hair restoration surgeons. This made the trip a special occasion for the doctor as he was one of the few non-Asian hair restoration specialists invited to take part in the activities at the conference.

The event took place July 20th-23rd at the beautiful Pullman Bangkok King Power Hotel. The conference was an officially sanctioned event of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgeons (ISHRS), which is a non-profit, international medical society that has over 1200 members in seventy countries. The goal of the organization is to promote “the highest standards of medical practice and medical ethics.” According to the website of the organization, their mission is the achievement of “excellence in medical and surgical outcomes by promoting member education, international collegiality, research, ethics, and public awareness.”

The trip for Dr. Mohebi was a mixture of meetings, social gatherings, informal conversations about the latest advances in hair transplant technology, and his participation in a Live Surgery Workshop. His mixture of professional and social events made sense when the target audience for the conference is considered:

  • Expert and novice hair restoration surgeons
  • Surgical technicians and assistants in the employ of ISHRS Physician Members and Pending Members
  • Additional office personnel in the employ of ISHRS Physician Members and Pending Members
  • Physicians (doctors, nurses, surgeons, and specialists) who have an interest in how hair restoration surgery is performed by trained hair transplant specialists

Dr. Mohebi Travels to Thailand – Teaching the Next Generation

As mentioned earlier, Dr. Mohebi enjoys learning new medical information and viewing surgical techniques that might become popular hair transplant treatment methods in the future. He also enjoys giving back to the hair restoration medical community by taking part in workshops, lectures, and demonstrations designed to educate the next generation of doctors.

Dr. Mohebi visits AAHRS meeting in Thailand to help teach about hair transplants

During the AAHRS conference, Dr. Mohebi journeyed to Chulalongkorn University Hospital to take part in a Live Surgery Workshop. During his portion of the cadaver workshop, Dr. Mohebi, along with Dr. Bertram Ng, showed how to treat male patterned baldness using Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) surgery. Dr. Mohebi’s device of choice was Trivellini System from Trivellini Tech. Dr. Mohebi was the operator of the device during the demonstration and his method of treatment was premade sites where hair grafts were placed in the sites using Mohebi Implanter (Inserter). This innovative device, created by Dr. Parsa Mohebi, makes the placement of hair grafts easier and safer during FUE hair transplant surgery. The device can be used safely and effectively during simultaneous extraction and placement FUE procedures since it allows multiple technicians to perform single handed graft placement at the same time.

When asked about taking part in the workshop, Dr. Mohebi said, “I feel that showing the steps involved in a hair transplant can sometimes be more important than any other teaching method. Those who are watching the procedure can take notes and see first-hand the surgical techniques they read about on a daily basis in textbooks and medical journals. While it seems obvious to say, it must be pointed out that the act of viewing a hair transplant surgery will make a long-lasting impression and it delivers information in a real-time setting.”

Dr. Mohebi added, “The workshop takes place in a controlled environment so we can discuss the possible risks and complications of a FUE procedure without the actual risks or complications happening during the lecture and demonstration. Plus, seeing a hair transplant performed in front of their eyes often spurs questions and comments that might not have been thought of if the audience members were simply reading a medical journal or textbook.”

When asked to summarize his journey to the AAHRS Conference, Dr. Mohebi feels a sense of pride and accomplishment. “It is an honor to be invited to the conference as the number of surgeons who are not of an Asian background is not very high. I am proud to be invited as this means the procedures performed at our multiple California locations are recognized as being industry-leading while also delivering high-quality results. I also feel a sense of accomplishment that I helped to educate an upcoming group of hair restoration doctors who will soon be ready to become accomplished hair transplant surgeons in the future.”

Our state-of-the-art medical facility is located in Woodland Hills, California. Its convenient location allows us to serve patients throughout the greater Los Angeles area as well as the San Fernando Valley and patients in Ventura County and other cities along the Pacific Coast. Parsa Mohebi Hair Restoration – What Will Patients Experience?

Our team has always been committed to providing an unmatched experience when they visit our office. The doctors at Parsa Mohebi Hair Restoration are known for providing innovative treatments using state-of-the-art and industry-leading medical equipment.

Depending on the reason for the visit, you will interact with Dr. Mohebi or Dr. Pan in specific rooms. For example, the room shown below is our consultation room where patients are examined to determine if they are a viable candidate for a hair restoration procedure. The consultation appointment includes a thorough medical examination by the doctor to assess your overall health. The doctor will also scrutinize your scalp to ascertain the reason for the loss of hair on the scalp along with the current level of hair loss you are experiencing. This one-on-one appointment is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions that you have about hair loss, the hair transplant process, and other hair restoration questions. In addition, it is also your chance to voice any concerns you have about the medical treatment you are considering while also having your concerns addressed in-person by the doctor.

If you are visiting our medical center to have a hair transplant procedure, you will see the doctor in one of our surgical suites. The decision to undergo a hair transplant will have been reached by both you and the doctor which means a game plan will have been created so you will know exactly how many hair grafts will be transplanted during the procedure. The surgical visit will also be an easy one for you as our team keeps you informed of what is happening at all times and you can even listen to the music of your choice during the procedure.

Parsa Mohebi Hair Restoration – Not Just for the Patient

While the emphasis of the patient visit is on the actual person visiting the doctor, we realize that not everyone will arrive at the office alone. Plus, we insist that patients have someone with them to drive them home or back to a hotel after their surgery. Our new office is a warm and welcoming space for the friends or family members who are there to assist after the surgery or provide moral support during the consultation appointment. They are welcome to spend time relaxing in the lobby while they work on their computer, scroll through their phone, or even read a book while waiting during the appointment.

As you can see from the photos below, our Los Angeles office is an open space that is designed to provide a relaxing atmosphere for all of our guests.

Parsa Mohebi Hair Restoration – Our Office Design Explained

The new office of Parsa Mohebi Hair Restoration was designed by Soroush Payandeh, and he has added many artistic touches that emphasize our philosophy of empowering our patients to become their best version.

A large painting in the lobby demonstrates the potential of everyone to become their own best self. The painting depicts the mythical bird of Persian mythology, “Simorgh,” based on a story by Attar of Nishapur (1145-1221). The birds of the world gathered to determine their true king (as they did not have one). They decided to find the legendary Simorgh with the colorful hoopoe bird leading the others who all represented a human fault which prevented man from attaining enlightenment. The birds crossed seven valleys to find their leader. Some lost hope. Others perished from exhaustion during the journey. When the last surviving thirty birds finally reached the dwelling place of the Simorgh, all they found was a lake in which they saw their own reflection.

Soroush has also designed a sculpture of Dr. Mohebi and presented it to the office “From one artist to another.” This bronze statue was made a few years ago and has found its new home in our Woodland Hills office.

Parsa Mohebi Hair Restoration – Ready to Visit Us?

While we could certainly show some additional photos and keep describing our new facility, it is definitely best appreciated by visiting the office. Whether you already have an idea about the type of results you want to achieve by having a hair transplant or you want to meet with a doctor to learn more about the procedure, we invite you to contact us here.

When you schedule an appointment with Parsa Mohebi Hair Restoration, our goal is to take the mystery out of having a hair transplant. One aspect of removing the mystery is making sure our patients feel welcome and valued. An impersonal meeting with a surgeon in a large office filled with a sizeable number of doctors can be intimidating and also make a person feel uncomfortable or that they are being treated like a number. Our Los Angeles office is led by Dr. Parsa Mohebi who, along with Dr. Michael Pan, delivers a personal touch to each person they meet no matter where the person is on their hair restoration journey.

It’s a new age at Parsa Mohebi Hair Restoration and we look forward to seeing you soon.

Dr. Mohebi Elected to Board of Directors for Industry Organization – Info Here

The month of December kicked off with some exciting news for the team at Parsa Mohebi Hair Restoration as it was announced that Dr. Mohebi was elected to the Board of Directors of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery. The term of his Board membership lasts for three years and beings on January 1st, 2023.

American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery – What is It?

To put it simply, the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery (ABHRS) is committed to hair restoration excellence and safety by ensuring that those who perform hair transplants have habits that are “consistent with safe, aesthetically sensitive hair restoration surgery.”

Dr. Mohebi Elected as member of American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery

The idea for the ABHRS first started to come into existence during a seminar on hair replacement surgery in Chicago in 1995. After a group of speakers started to discuss the need to form a certifying board for hair transplant surgery, the discussions continued for another year. In 1996, the American Hair Loss Council (AHLC) issued an invitation to all of the medical specialty groups with physicians who performed hair restoration surgery to take part in a meeting about the topic. The presidents of these surgical organizations were invited to send three representatives each to the meeting in order to talk about the development and implementation of a certification process for hair transplant surgeons.

Since the AHLC was receiving multiple inquiries from the public regarding how to know if a physician was actually competent in performing hair transplants, these representatives met twice before recommending that an independent examining body be formed to create a credentialing and examination process that would make the public aware of the skills and education of a surgeon performing the procedure.

The first formal board meeting was held in Nashville in 1996 and the meeting included the election of officers, the appointing of committee chairpersons, and the development of an oral and written examination that would help to identify and statistically validate surgeons who were following industry standards in performing the procedure and ensuring the safety of patients.

Dr. Mohebi – Why He Wanted to Join the Board of Directors

When asked why he wanted to serve on the Board of Directors for the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery, Dr. Mohebi said, “The safety and well-being of my patients has always been a priority for me, and I also want to make sure patients across the country are getting the care and results they deserve when it comes to hair restoration surgery.”

The doctor went on to add, “I was the chair of the 26th World Congress of Hair Restoration as well as the first chair of the FUE Research Committee. I have been an examiner for the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery. I also devote time each week to researching the study of new hair restoration techniques to see if any of the proposed treatments can provide results that are healthy and natural in appearance along with determining the overall level of safety involved with the methods being researched and tested.”

As a board member of the ABHRS, Dr. Mohebi wants to make it a priority to maintain the professional standards of the organization and to also examine the knowledge and skill level of both established surgeons and doctors who are just entering the medical field of hair transplants. He wants to “ensure the board becomes widely recognized and its reputation expanded to bring an increased amount of credibility to our field of medicine along with the doctors who are performing hair restoration on a regular basis.”

Dr. Mohebi mentioned he also appreciates the fact that the ABHRS also offers international surgeons the chance to have their certificates say, “International Board of Hair Restoration Surgery.” According to Dr. Mohebi, “The international certification means that surgeons across the globe recognize the need for proper training and the same set of industry standards so patients, no matter where they are located, can feel confident that their surgeon of choice has the necessary skills, training, and experience to safely perform a hair transplant.”

Dr. Mohebi – What are His Duties as a Board Member?

As stated on their website, the exam administered by the ABHRS “stands as the only psychometrically and statistically validated examination dedicated to the specialty of hair restoration surgery.”

As part of his duties as a new member of the board of the ABHRS, Dr. Mohebi will participate as an examiner during the annual certifying examination process, and he will take part in item writing assignments. He will also follow the by-laws of the organization and work to expand the reputation of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery in the eyes of the public.

Dr. Mohebi says he is “both excited and ready to get started with this exciting position. I look forward to working with my fellow board members and helping the organization evolve and grow in the coming years.”

Hair Transplants and TikTok – How Social Media Helps Hair Restoration Patients

The availability of information about hair transplants has evolved greatly over the last decade. In the past, patients had to schedule an appointment with a doctor to get the in-depth information they wanted to learn about hair restoration. Thanks to the rise of social media, anyone interested in having a hair restoration procedure can get the information they desire from actual patients as well as experienced and board-certified surgeons experienced in performing hair transplants. One of the most popular social media apps is TikTok and many potential patients are turning to this app to learn more about the hair transplant process from doctors such as our own @hairtransplantdr.

Some of Dr. Mohebi’s most popular TikTok videos include:

TikTok and Hair Transplant – Why the Topic is Popular on the Platform

The subject of a hair transplant is often an uncomfortable one for a patient as they don’t want to admit to others, they are experiencing hair loss on their scalp. Someone that is suffering from hair loss often turns to social media to get more information about this condition.

TikTok has proven to be a very popular platform for people to discuss their hair transplant procedures. The ability to share videos and “before and after” photos of their results show future patients the type of natural, long-lasting results that can be achieved with a hair transplant. In addition, a person that had the surgery can directly address the audience watching the video and share their story in their own words.

Dr. Mohebi on TikTok and Hair Transplants

When asked why he decided to start posting videos on TikTok, Dr. Mohebi said he wanted to be able to share hair transplant information with a wide audience. “Even in a city the size of Los Angeles, there are only so many patients you can see per week. The ability to share videos on social media platforms such as TikTok means you can reach people all over the United States and around the world.”

Dr. Mohebi added, “There are patients interested in learning more about a hair transplant, but they might not have easy access to an experienced and board-certified surgeon where they live. TikTok allows our practice to reach those who might not be sure where they can turn to in order to get their desired information. The idea of undergoing a surgical procedure can be quite scary if you don’t have enough information to make an informed decision. TikTok allows us to answer patient questions and address their concerns in entertaining and educational videos.”

Hair Transplants and Natural Results

The public might not realize it, but they likely know someone who had a hair transplant in the past. Hair restoration provides long-lasting results that are natural in appearance and the hair that grows in after the surgery does not look any different than the hair that was already on the scalp.

Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) is a hair transplant procedure that individually removes hair grafts from the donor area of the scalp. (FYI: The donor area is usually located on the back and sides of the scalp.) Once the hair grafts are individually removed from the donor area on the body, the surgeon places them in the balding or thinning areas on the scalp. Because the hair grafts are removed individually during the surgery, there is not a long linear scar after the procedure is finished.

Hair Transplants and TikTok – Positive Reactions from the Public

One of the most gratifying aspects of sharing hair transplant information on TikTok is the positive reaction it creates in patients. The ability to watch videos and gain important insights into the process, in the comfort of their own home, is very important to many people currently experiencing hair loss. There is less of a stigma about wanting to get more information about the treatment if patients are able to learn without having to ask friends or family members for help researching the procedure.

The age range of patients using TikTok to get more information ranges from older men who were not aware of their options in the past to younger patients trying to be more proactive in finding a solution to their male-pattern baldness at an early age. Even if the stigma surrounding a hair transplant is not fully eliminated, there does seem to be a larger number of men (and women) who are more open about wanting to find a solution for their thinning hair.

Dr. Mohebi enjoys the fact that TikTok is opening new doors for patients and breaking down the resistance some felt in the past about having a Los Angeles hair transplant procedure (or elsewhere in the country). “There have been times when men were afraid to come forward and discuss their hair loss for fear of being made fun of by their friends or family. TikTok videos are helping to normalize the hair restoration process in the eyes of the public. They also give many men the confidence they need to schedule a consultation appointment and/or have the procedure.”

“Hair on Air” Podcast Welcomes a Special Guest – Dr. Parsa Mohebi

One of the main goals of the blog section on our website is to educate patients about hair restoration. There is a lot of information available on the Internet about hair transplants and the quality of this information can vary. Some of the content is written by board-certified and experienced medical professionals while other written content and videos are produced by people interested, but not experienced, in the topic. Dr. Mohebi provides information on his blog that is medically accurate as well as up to date so anyone interested in Los Angeles hair transplant surgery has the latest information. Dr. Mohebi also enjoys the opportunity to share hair restoration information in other media and he was recently a guest on the new podcast, “Hair on Air”.

Dr. Mohebi Talks about Hair Transplant on a Podcast

“Hair on Air” is a podcast hosted by Dr. Gorana Kuka-Epstein. She is a board-certified doctor by the Diplomate, American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery, the Director of Research of the Foundation for Hair Restoration as well as the Co-Director of the Women’s Center for Hair Loss. After that fun start to the conversation, they moved into a discussion about the changes that have occurred in the field of hair restoration over the last ten years. The insightful conversation also included a chat about modern hair restoration techniques.

The podcast conversation then went on to talk about how the demand for FUE has increased for many reasons including the desire of patients to not have a scar on their scalp after their procedure as well as the topic of Robotic FUE – ARTAS (r-FUE).

The doctors also discussed the hair transplant technique known as Celebrity Hair Transplant™ by Dr. Parsa Mohebi and its popularity among patients (including celebrities) that want to keep their hair transplant anonymous. Dr. Mohebi is based in Los Angeles which means he is often visited by celebrity patients that want to enjoy the benefits of both Los Angeles and Beverly Hills hair restoration services.

This fascinating 40+ minute conversation also touched on Power Hairline®, the increase in self-confidence provided by hair transplants, Mohebi Implanter, hair cloning and other hair restoration options that might happen in the future.

Hair Restoration Doctor gets a Hair Transplant – See the Story

There are many stories about doctors giving patients the results they desire in their particular medical specialty. This is especially true of our very own Dr. Manu Gujrati AKA “Dr. G”. He is the Medical Director of Parsa Mohebi Hair Restoration in Northern California and has been helping patients gain the full head of natural looking hair they have desired for more than a decade.  Dr. G is also well-known for making a life-changing decision that few doctors have taken in the past. He was recently a Los Angeles hair transplant patient at our Southern California medical center and is ready to share his journey with the world! Take a look below to learn more about his personal journey and why he decided it was time for this San Francisco hair transplant doctor to become a Los Angeles hair restoration patient!

Dr. G and His Personal Hair Restoration Story

When he first started considering the idea of undergoing a hair restoration procedure, Dr. G knew it was about more than the simple act of the surgery. He believes that the hair on the scalp of a person represents much more than just the appearance of the hair. Dr. G feels that hair represents the “inner vibrance” of the soul and a successful hair transplant is a combination of both art and science. The look of the hair on the scalp of a person can also contribute to their self-image and the confidence they feel as they go about their daily life.

As a San Francisco hair transplant surgeon, Dr. G spends a lot of time chatting with his patients in order to learn the reasons they want to have a hair restoration procedure. One of the most common answers that he hears is the fact that it is taking some of his patients a longer time each day to fix their hair/get their hair to look the way they want at the start of the day. Dr. G realized that he falls into that category as he has noticed changes in the appearance of his hairline and that it has been taking him longer to style it (as desired) over the years.

The revelation that he was experiencing the same daily reality as his patients made Dr. G realize that he could also make a change to his hairline. He decided to put himself “in their shoes” and have a hair transplant.

Dr. G Chooses His Own Doctor

Even though Dr. G is an incredibly talented surgeon, he is not able to perform a procedure on himself which means he needed to turn to a surgeon he trusted to provide the results he desired. His surgeon of choice was the founder of Parsa Mohebi Hair Restoration, Dr. Parsa Mohebi.

One of the reasons he chose Dr. Mohebi was the connection they have formed since working together. According to Dr. G, the two men “naturally think alike, we’re passionate about our work and we are very curious individuals.” When taking all of these factors into account, it seemed like a natural fit for the doctors to partner together on this Los Angeles hair restoration journey.

While Dr. G performs hair restoration surgery on our patients in San Francisco (and the surrounding areas), Dr. Mohebi treats patients that visit our office for Los Angeles and Beverly Hills hair transplant services.

Dr. G hair loss consultation

The two doctors gathered together for a consultation appointment so Dr. Mohebi could perform a thorough examination and evaluation of the current hairline of Dr. G. After discussing his goals and determining the type of results Dr. G wanted to achieve with the surgery, a treatment plan was created, and it was determined that the desired results could be obtained with a single surgery. The decision was made to design a youthful hairline but not one that could be viewed as being “juvenile” in appearance.

Dr. Gujrati, a hair transplant surgeon had a hair transplant

Hair Shaving for a Good Cause

As shown in our video showcasing Dr. G’s hair restoration journey, his hair had not been shaved since an incredibly young age. As part of the process of preparing his scalp for the surgery, the surgical team at Parsa Mohebi Hair Restoration shaved Dr. G’s hair.

Hair Transplant Surgeon donates hair

Since there was SO MUCH HAIR that was shaved from his scalp, Dr. G made the decision to donate his locks to a charity that makes wigs for those that are lacking hair due to any number of medical reasons.  Dr. G felt it was important to give a new start to others lacking in hair as he was also starting his journey to gaining a new hairline.

Dr. G – Creating a Story to Share with the Public

Spending time with Dr. G makes it immediately apparent that he is a passionate and devoted doctor. He is especially excited about the increased connection he will feel with his patients thanks to going through the hair transplant process as a patient.

There is one request that Dr. G hears from his patients on a regular basis, and it is a request for the opportunity to speak with someone that had the procedure in the past. They want to chat with someone that has first-hand knowledge about the surgery and can tell them what it will feel like, how the recovery process will unfold and how their life changed after the treatment. He realized that he will be able to give them a perspective about hair restoration surgery that other doctors are not able to share with their patients. Dr. G is looking forward to giving his patients an inside view about what they will experience on both an emotional and physical level.

Hair Transplant surgeon has a hair transplant procedure

Dr. G Hair Transplant Surgery – Witness his Journey

It was particularly important to Dr. G that his hair restoration journey was documented for both his current and future patients.  Anyone interested in having a hair restoration procedure can browse the Parsa Mohebi YouTube page for our complete library of videos. Our YouTube page provides in-depth information about the various types of hair transplants, the costs associated with a hair transplant, hair restoration facts and myths, patient testimonials and so much more!

Dr. Mohebi Named to “Best Los Angeles Hair Restoration Surgeons” List for 2021

Last week ended with a nice surprise for Dr. Mohebi as Cosmetic Town named him to its “Best Los Angeles Hair Restoration Surgeons” list in 2021. Cosmetic Town, an online plastic surgery news and information community, recently published its list of the best doctors that are currently performing Los Angeles hair transplant surgeries.

Dr. Mohebi Makes the Best Hair Restoration Surgeon List

Dr. Parsa Mohebi Best Hair Transplant Surgeon Los AngelesWhen asked about being chosen as one of the best doctors performing Los Angeles hair restoration, Dr. Mohebi said “While it is nice to be recognized as one of the best hair restoration surgeons in Los Angeles, I am happy to be on the list for the reasons used to determine the doctors chosen for 2021.”

Dr. Mohebi added, “The surgeons on the list were picked for their skills and level of patient satisfaction. Plus, they were chosen for their ongoing patient education efforts and peer sharing efforts with other doctors. I consider educating patients to be one of the most important parts of my job as an educated patient is a person that is well-informed and able to make a decision about having a hair transplant armed with the necessary knowledge and details about the procedure. I also enjoy sharing medical knowledge with my peers in this medical field. The exchange of the latest information about hair restoration techniques leads to a growth in knowledge and skills on the part of both parties.”

According to the Cosmetic Town website, these items were also used to pick the doctors on the list:

  • Consumer research was conducted that was focused on the field of cosmetic surgery as well as any, and all, relevant medical training on the part of the doctor. Each doctor needed to have current board-certification and experience performing hair restoration for a number of years.
  • Each doctor needed to conduct ongoing research in the field of hair restoration along with regular peer sharing efforts. Example of peer sharing includes the writing and publication of medical articles for medical journals that showcased expertise and knowledge relevant to the field of hair restoration.
  • Patient education efforts were also an important factor in the determination of the doctors that made the list. From blogs to educational videos and online Q&A sessions, the doctors needed to show that providing their patients with the information necessary to make an informed decision was an ongoing concern for their practice.

Best Los Angeles Hair Restoration Procedures

When it comes to providing the results desired by patients, Los Angeles hair transplant surgeons have a few options available to them:

  • Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) – This hair transplant technique is when the surgeon individually harvests hair grafts from other areas of the body of the patient. The hair grafts are usually taken form the donor area of the scalp (the back and sides) because the hair in this area is resistant to balding. If there is not enough high-quality donor hair on the back or side of the scalp, the hair grafts can be taken from the beard or the chest of the patient. The surgeon will individually remove the hair grafts from the donor area and then place them into incisions that have been premade on the scalp. As the implanted hairs continue to grow, they will provide the patient with a natural looking hairline.
  • Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT) – An FUT hair transplant is when the surgeon transplant follicular units, in their natural grouping, into the balding section of the scalp of the patient. One of the main reasons some patients do not choose this procedure is because it leaves a linear scar on the scalp of the patient. The procedure starts with the surgeon trimming a narrow strip of hair along with cutting a strip of the scalp from the back of the head (after the hair is trimmed). The hair follicles that are located in the scalp strip are then dissected in their natural grouping so they can be implanted into incisions that have been premade in the balding portion of the scalp.

Dr. Mohebi and the Best Los Angeles Hair Restoration Surgeons

Dr. Mohebi also took a moment to discuss being part of the best surgeons list with so many other experienced doctors. “I think the names of the doctors, as well as the amount of surgeons on the 2021 list, speaks to the quality of hair restoration services and results that are available in the Los Angeles area. We are lucky to be part of a thriving medical community in Los Angeles that shares information and insights with each other on a regular basis. Los Angeles is often thought of as a “City of Stars” thanks to its proximity to cities like Beverly Hills and Hollywood. Patients from all over the country want to come to Los Angeles to gain the hairline they see on their favorite celebrities. I am happy to be able to give patients the hairline they have always dreamed about having on their scalp. I thank Cosmetic Town for recognizing my efforts to provide the public with superior results.”
