Pre-Op Instructions

The most important thing you can do before your hair transplant is relax and enjoy the process. You are taking a big step in changing your self-image and should enjoy the journey. You may need to stop taking some medications as well as avoid alcohol and smoking before the surgery. On the day of the procedure, please dress comfortably and have a friend or family member on hand to drive you home after the surgery.

Post-Op Instructions

You will likely leave our office with a dressing around your head in order to keep the pressure on the donor area. You need to wear it until you return to our office the next day when we will show you how to properly wash and care for your transplanted hair. Each patient is different so please contact our office with any questions or concerns about pain or swelling in the days following your surgery. We will provide you with a complete list of post-op instructions to ensure you have a comfortable and complete recovery in the weeks and months following the procedure.

Hair Wash After Transplant

Learning to wash your hair following a transplant is a vital part of maintaining the results from the surgery. You will visit our office the day after your procedure where we will teach you how to properly wash your hair. You will also be given special shampoo as well as a reusable sponge to care for your hair and scalp.
